I have recently moved into my new property and wanted to place my TV on the wall. I contacted a few providers, Dishan from Mates Rates was the most proactive and I decided to go with him.
I am so impressed with his knowledge on TV and everything electronic, and learnt a lot in the time that he was setting up the TV. Besides being knowledgeable, Dishan is professional, courteous and has a passion for his job. When Dishan left, I was satisfied with his work and confident that he did an awesome job. We had a fantastic experience with Dishan from Mates Rates TV Melbourne and couldn’t be happier with his work. Dishan did an excellent job installing our TV and went above and beyond by helping us source the correct Yamaha mount for our Yamaha soundbar.
He set everything up perfectly, brought us up to speed with the new apps, and most importantly calibrated everything so we can control our entire audio-visual system with one remote.

I had Dishan install a soft touch mount on my TV in an alcove. The tv was too wide for the alcove but I wanted it stored back on an angle and easy to swing forward when watching.
I had previously had another company mount it but they used a very cheap mount which did not allow for correct storage and was difficult to manoeuvre.
This was despite me explaining the outcome I needed. I know I should have asked the mount style/type before employing them.
Dishan came to look at the problem first, explain how his mount was high quality and would meet my requirements. He then installed the next day. He showed me two possibilities of where to mount, both improvements and I chose the preferred one. I cannot recommend him more highly.
Prompt, high standard, friendly service and great communication about arrival time updates.
Always check the type of mount if you want to move the tv. Soft touch is highly recommended.

I needed a TV hung and looked to find someone local. I connected with Dishan from Mates Rates TV & instantly felt like I was in good hands. He was quick with all communication and knew the brief as we’d text about my needs. We agreed on a price to have a swivel bracket & the leads to be hidden. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! Dishan from Mates Rates was an absolute legend to deal with. Within an hour of submitting my request, he’d already called, locked in the booking, talked through what I wanted, and explained exactly how the install would go.
Dishan is the real deal, professional, super personable, and ridiculously efficient. His attention to detail is next level. He didn’t just mount and wire my 100" setup perfectly, he also walked me through every part of the process, explained the wiring choices, and even future-proofed the install so I can easily add more gear later on.
On top of that, he’s one of the most down-to-earth people you’ll meet. My whole family met him, the dogs loved him, and he had us all engaged with his chats and sense of humour. It’s rare to find someone who takes such pride in their work while making the whole experience enjoyable.
I couldn’t recommend him or Mates Rates highly enough; I’ll definitely be calling again (and asking for Dishan by name!).

Dishan attended promptly and was friendly & courteous. More importantly, he knew what he was doing.
He also informed me that he previously worked at the company that I purchased the products from, and listened to my concerns about the company in a professional, respectful manner. This was an important factor in my decision to write this review.
Anyway, within an hour or so everything was completed. Our brand new Google TV was fitted onto the wall, all ready for use.

Such a fantastic experience. They were transparent about their pricing, and quick to respond to all messages and requests.
Dishan completed the job in a timely manner, but to a very high standard of quality. There was care to make sure the concealed mounts were positioned perfectly, and to ensure the TV was mounted safely, tested well, and in the correct position.
The value of the service cannot be overstated, I would recommend Dishan to all friends and family.

Best experience ever!! He went over and above with mounting and installing my new tv. I have a son with behaviour issues so he made the tv extra secure to the mount. He installed all the apps for me and never left until tv was fully functional. He then went over and above to take my call late at night to reassure me once again that the tv was super secure.

Dishan from Mates Rates was incredible! I was let down badly by G****2U. The first technician was running late and called to let me know he wouldn’t make it. I rang the call centre to rebook, and then the second technician didn’t turn up at all, without even a phone call. And by then the call centre was closed. I rang first thing this morning only to be told no-one was available today. No service recovery offered! Just a “we'll cancel the job, no charge”. How good of them! I rang around but no-one could do it today. One company, The A****** M** was going to come out to give me a quote, until I asked if they had insurance, and then said, “yeah, we’re not coming”. I’m so lucky I found Dishan! My job was minor, just unboxing and setting the tv up on a cabinet top, but only Dishan could help me. I am disabled (autistic) and extremely clumsy and didn’t trust myself. Dishan was able to squeeze my job in at extremely short notice. He was on time, polite, professional, knowledgable and everything you could hope for in a television technician. I give him and Mates Rates the highest possible recommendation! Absolutely A1! Thank you so much Dishan!

Absolutely outstanding service! Dishan installed my 85-inch TV perfectly. It is perfectly level, secure, and with all cables neatly hidden. Dishan was punctual, knowledgeable, and made sure everything was set up exactly the way I wanted. He was extremely quick and I actually managed to book him in on the same day. I had a frame tv installed today by ratesmates. Dishan was on time kept me updated on his arrival and did a fantastic job .I also wanted cables hidden which looked to be an issue because of the wall cavity, but Dishan persisted and gave me a nice neat finish.
I'm very happy and will recommend him to anyone looking for a tv install . He was also very knowledgeable on set up and tv tech .

Didn't really have to do much explaining on what i wanted as he knew what to do & what would suit my seating positions & comfortability almost immediately. He tested where i would be sitting & based his positioning of the TV on the wall in accordance to my comfortability on my seat which ive never had done before.
